Culvert / Bridge Replacement projects are now becoming an increasing priority considering the age of our nation’s infrastructure – local communities are certainly affected. This is a unique opportunity to address long term issues such as flooding and floodplain management. These projects can be coupled with FEMA and DEP objectives for a collaborative endeavor to address multiple issues in one project. It takes a municipal engineering consultant with vision and experience to get stake holders together, scope a project, seek grant funding opportunities, prepare a comprehensive set of construction documents and oversee these heavy construction projects.

We at JEA have overseen these type projects and are currently engaging stakeholders on another to upgrade infrastructure while reducing floodplain areas affecting nearby homes.
